We transfer and check
Each tape is cleaned, played through in real time and captured. We trim the blank tape at the end so the file stops when the recording does.

You get it all back
Originals returned, plus your files on a USB stick, a private download link, or both.
These cannot be replaced, and we treat them that way
A wedding, a first birthday, a grandparent who is no longer here. Tapes like these cannot be reordered if something goes wrong, so we treat every job as though it were our own family in the picture.
That means no batch machines left running overnight, and no work sent off to a third party. If a tape is mouldy, snapped or seized we will tell you before we charge you anything.

35mm slides and negatives, scanned and returned in the order you gave them to us.
Bundle discounts start at ten items, or 151 slides. Minimum order £25.
Mostly, people cry a bit
We had eighteen tapes in a suitcase and no video recorder to play them on. Martin talked us through it, collected them on the Tuesday and we were watching my parents' silver wedding by the end of the month.
One of the cine reels had gone brittle and I assumed it was a write-off. They took the time to repair the splices and it came back looking better than I remember it.
I am not confident with computers at all. They put everything on a memory stick, labelled it, and showed me how to plug it into the back of the television. No jargon at any point.

The things people ask before they hand the box over
Will I get my original tapes back?
Always. The transfer does not damage or consume the tape, and we return every original alongside the digital copies. Some people keep them, some people are glad to see the back of them.
What if a tape is mouldy or snapped?
Bring it anyway. We can clean light mould, re-splice broken tape and rehouse a cassette whose shell has cracked. If it genuinely cannot be saved we will tell you and there is nothing to pay for that tape.
How will I actually watch the finished videos?
We supply standard MP4 files. Plug the USB stick into a smart TV and it plays. They also work on a laptop, phone or tablet with nothing extra to install, and they are easy to email or share with family abroad.
How long does it take?
Most orders are finished and back with you inside 21 days. Tapes play back in real time, so a big box genuinely takes a while. If you need something for a birthday or a funeral, say so and we will prioritise it.
Will anyone else see what is on them?
No. The work is done in-house, the files go to you and nobody else, and everything is wiped from our system after 90 days unless you ask us to keep a backup.
Do you edit the videos as well?
Basic tidying is included: we trim the blank recording at the end and split long tapes into chapters. Proper editing, music, titles or a highlights film for an anniversary can be quoted separately.
